a night of sushi making and sake tasting. Join our team of fly fish at Osaka in Hollywood, a chic eatery featuring a gorgeous entryway with two modern concrete waterfalls. We’ll start out with instruction from our sushi sensei who will show us how to make four different rolls: a hand roll, nigiri, fat roll, and—just to remind us that we’re still in LA—skinny roll. We’ll learn how to work with a slew of different seafood, including ceviche, salmon, tuna, and a variety of vegetables.
Once we’ve finished creating our culinary masterpieces, we’ll be treated to a tasting of four sakes, all picked to pair with our sushi. We’ll go through the tasting notes of each, learning which flavors pair well with others. Full of fish we’ll head home with a souvenir sake glass knowing that tuna(ght) was a night that didn’t blow(fish)
